Tap2Serve Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Tap2Serve application, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The Platform
Tap2Serve is a marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers. Tap2Serve is not a service provider and does not perform any services. We facilitate the connection, payment, and communication between parties.
3. User Accounts
- You must be 18 years or older to use Tap2Serve
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- One account per person; multiple accounts will be suspended
- You must provide accurate information during registration
4. Service Providers
- Providers are independent contractors, not Tap2Serve employees
- Providers must submit valid identification for verification
- Providers with specialized skills must provide relevant trade licenses
- Providers must maintain a minimum 3.5-star rating after 10 reviews
5. Bookings & Payments
- All payments are processed in South African Rand (ZAR) via iKhokha
- A R15 Trust & Safety Fee is charged per booking
- Platform commission: 5-20% depending on provider subscription tier
- Cancellation within 5 minutes: no fee. After acceptance: 10% cancellation fee
- Provider payouts are processed weekly (minimum R150)
6. Reviews & Ratings
- Reviews must be submitted within 48 hours of service completion
- Reviews must be honest and based on actual experience
- Fake, abusive, or defamatory reviews will be removed
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Off-platform payments to avoid fees
- Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour
- Providing false identity or qualification documents
- Creating multiple accounts
- Using the platform for illegal activities
8. Dispute Resolution
Disputes between customers and providers are handled by Tap2Serve's admin team. We may issue refunds, split payments, or take other action as deemed fair. Our decision is final.
9. Limitation of Liability
Tap2Serve is a marketplace platform. We are not liable for the quality of services provided, property damage, or personal injury resulting from services booked through the platform. Providers carry their own liability.
10. Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, receive consistently poor ratings, or engage in fraudulent activity.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
